The Lilac Bloomsday Run, also known as Bloomsday, is an annual timed road race in the northwest United States, held on the first Sunday of May since 1977 in Spokane, Washington. The course length is 12 km (7.46 mi). Run starts and ends in downtown Spokane. Since the inaugural run in 1977, more than 50,000 thousands of competitive runners, casual joggers, kids, stroller pushers, walkers and wheelchair racers have flocked to Spokane for a weekend chock-full of excitement.

Bloomsday Run was born during the running boom that swept the nation in the late 1970s. After nearly four decades, Bloomsday has worked its way into the fabric of life in the Inland Northwest. For most residents, it’s impossible to imagine spring in Spokane without Bloomsday. For more information check out bloomsdayrun.org Follow event on Facebook
