The annual Hayden Days Celebration sponsored by STCU and the City of Hayden will be held on July 28 29 at McIntire Family Park, 8930 North Government Way, Hayden. The hours will be Friday, July 28, from 2:00-9:00 p.m. and Saturday, July 29, from 10:00 a.m.-9:00 p.m.
Hayden Days events will include the annual Hayden Days Parade with a flyover, NLFD/Hayden Chamber Pancake Breakfast, Hayden Car Show sponsored by Idaho Central Credit Union, live bands sponsored by P1FCU, a beer/wine garden, and lots of children’s games and activities. Children’s activities will include a petting zoo, pony rides, bouncy houses, spin art, a dunk tank, water balls, games and more. Many food and mixed-goods vendors will be there with a variety of cuisine and merchandise for everyone to enjoy.
The 2017 Hayden Days Festival will highlight great talent, such as the Kelly Hughes Band on Friday night and Swing Street Big Band on Saturday night. Gymnastics demos will be held on Saturday beginning at 11:45 a.m. As well, the increasingly popular Hayden’s Got Talent show will be from 2:30 4:30 p.m. on Saturday, and judges and the audience will determine the winners!
The Hayden Chamber of Commerce and the Northern Lakes Fire District will host a Pancake Breakfast at the Northern Lakes Fire Station prior to the start of the parade. The all-you-can-eat breakfast is $7.00 (suggested donation) and will be served from 7:00 to 9:30 a.m. Saturday, July 29. On Saturday afternoon the annual Hayden Car Show sponsored by ICCU, will be held from 11:30 a.m.-4:00 p.m. with registration beginning at 11:00 a.m.
The annual Hayden Days Parade will begin at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, July 29 and will run along Government Way starting at Hayden Avenue and ending at Nita Avenue. This year’s parade will include the 2017 Distinguished Veteran of the Year and Grand Marshal Margaret Ogram, Northern Lakes Fire Protection District, US Forest Service Smokey Bear, Hot Punch Highlanders, Kootenai County Sheriff’s Dept., Albeni Falls Pipes & Drums of North Idaho, Technique Gymnastics, Ziggy’s, classic cars and much more!
